Kia ora, my name is Jah Marsh and I am a proud māori artist & designer based in Auckland, New Zealand. I whakapapa to both Ngāpuhi (Ngāti Toro) and Ngāti Maniapoto (Ngāti Rora). My art career was influenced by my grandfather & father who were both māori carvers and artists. I remember playing in the garage at a young age watching my grandfather carve these intricate patterns out of blocks of wood and started to copy these designs in rough sketches as I got older.

I began my own art journey as a graffiti writer in the mid nineties, walking the West Auckland lines with a bag full of cans and markers looking for any white space I could let loose on. From there I headed down the more traditional design path and have enjoyed a long career working with some amazing brands and people all over the world. I have a Bachelors in design & visual art and have achieved candidature for my Masters of Design.

My background is in graff & street art, brand, digital design, graphic design, textile, streetwear and fashion, music production and lots of other stuff.
